Review: These are a very economical way to wash. I don't tend to have extremely messy washing but the addition of a stain remover or soda crystals usually does the job. My washing machine has a musty smell that I am in the process of getting rid of and since these balls are unscented the smell can transfer. I have some of the Method fabric conditioner that a use a small amount with and the smell remains on the clothes and the ball still washes.

Review: I've been using these for 15 yrs - the original Ecozone pellets were little stones, they worked very well. I trialled plain water and sodium bicarb as well for laundry and the Ecozone balls won out easily. Several years ago they changed to 50% white soap pellets. The white soap pellets made me itch just as detergent does, so I discarded them, I still thought these were worth buying as the stone pellets last ages. Now they are 90% white soap pellets which not only dissolve pretty quickly, but if you bought these due to allergy to soap you will be paying an enormous price for a few stone pellets and be forced to throw the 90% of the white soap ones away. Smells like profiteering. I suggest getting tourmaline (stone pellets) direct from Eco Egg site, much cheaper. Can't find them here.
