Review: I really applaud what this brand is doing with making more sustainable products; it is so important and I hope other companies do the same. However, this looks like a very expensive option for something that is so difficult to gauge. I like a fabric softener that leaves a scent (that, after all, is part of its purpose), but was using far, far more than the recommended dosage. The bottle was very well packaged with everything recyclable. The bottle had started to leak slightly because the screw cap was not tightly closed. However, as another note, if you close this too tightly whilst using the bottle, I have found the lid seizes up from the gunk of the liquid. The tall, aluminium bottle looks smart and stylish. It is great for recycling but you cannot see how much you have left. The lid itself is small and supposed to be used for measuring out the conditioner. Yet, it is far too fiddly and I gave up using it after making such a mess. According to the dosage instructions, a large load requires 10ml of conditioner, versus my supermarket brand of 45ml. At first I was delighted by the saving this would entail but it resulted in laundry that only smelled of the washing liquid. Living in a hard water area and with a 10kg washing machine, I use a lot of fabric softener per load, leaving me trying different volumes each time to find a suitable dosage. When you get it right, this conditioner has a lovely, strong scent. I ended up completely abandoning the recommended dosage instructions and found around 35-45ml was better for my loads. I used my older measuring cup for it and this was mess-free. In conclusion, whilst this does have eco-qualities and is a lovely scent, there is a lot of work required to get this a perfect product. From the messy measuring lid, to the inaccurate dosage instructions, this conditioner needs to also be more competitively priced for it to reach a broad demographic.
