20 Watt Switch Dimmable Energy Saver

Category: Light Bulbs
Brand: Nigels Eco Store
Description: { } The Switch Dimmable energy saving light bulb will dim from 2% to 100%, and has a digital flicker-free light. It is a 100watt equivalent at full power. Once you've set the dimming level, this level is stored and the bulb will illuminate at this level (even if it is at the minimum) until the level is reset. NOT SUITABLE FOR USE WITH A DIMMER SWITCH (as this may damage the bulb). Switch Dimmable contains its own dimmer - so use with a conventional light switch. Choose the energy saving bulb if you would like to use a dimmer switch. At the end of its useful life, this energy saving lightbulb should be recycled at any household recycling site. (This is a big difference between tungsten bulbs and compact fluorescents (CFLs) - you can actually recycle CFLs whilst tungsten bulbs can only go in the bin.) Whilst every attempt has been made to ensure these bulbs work with the majority of dimmers (and this bulb will work with most standard dimmer switches) some dimmers may require more than one bulb to be used to meet their minimum wattage - if in doubt, please check the instructions on your dimmer switch). Magnify 11w Gu10 Dimmable Low Energy Spotlight Bulb
11w Gu10 Dimmable Low Energy Spotlight Bulb

11w Gu10 Dimmable Low Energy Spotlight Bulb

Category: Light Bulbs
Brand: Nigels Eco Store
Description: { } 50 Watt equivalent. Beneath the translucent finish of each low energy bulb lies state-of-the-art technology that will work perfectly on any incandescent rotary, electronic and digital dimmer or electronic scene setter*. With an integrated cooling-tube, it gives a flicker free stable light, that saves more energy at each step down dimming. Bulb size is 76mm x 50mm (length x width) - and it'll fit in any standard GU10 fitting. Please note: These energy saving 11 Watt GU10 Dimmerable lightbulbs work in a slightly different way to non-energy saving lightbulbs, and to get them to work properly, you'll need to ensure that your dimmer switch is compatible with the number of bulbs that you need, as follows: This means you may need to change your dimmer switch if you want to use these energy saving lightbulbs. The above table is particular to these 11 Watt GU10s and will vary with other sizes of dimmable energy saving lightbulbs. To check the wattage rating of your dimmer switch, unscrew it from the wall, it should say on the back what the rating is. Most households have a standard 400 Watt dimmer switch. Not compatible with remote and touch dimmers. These Megaman low energy fluorescent GU10 lightbulbs are some of the best energy saving lightbulbs on the market. They are longer than conventional halogen spotlights, but offer a huge energy saving. Their long life helps make these CFLs (compact fluorescents) the healthiest and safest for the environment. Compatible with a 240v (mains) GU10 fitting. You might also be interested to learn that Megaman energy saving light bulbs have a mercury content of less than 3mg which is an industry first. They are also RoHS compliant (i.e. they Restrict Hazardous Substances) - at the heart of the Megaman factory is a lamp tube recycling facility, and a treatment facility for wastewater. At the end of their life, these energy saving light bulbs should be recycled (easily) at any household recycling site. (This is a big difference between tungsten and CFLs - you can actually recycle CFLs whilst tungsten bulbs, you can't.)
