Description: A robust and purposeful product, the Hedgehog Habitat provides a safe habitat for hedgehogs in the garden and is suitable for hibernation, breeding and Summer shelter. Heavy construction from durable FSC timbers gives strength and longevity. The roof is double skinned for insulation and weather protection, whilst the raised timber floor keeps damp out. Its robust, all-screwed construction withstands crushing/strimming. An specially constructed internal tunnel allows the hedgehog in but deters predators. Completing the unit there is a removable roof for annual cleaning and inspection of sick or rescued hedgehogs. Siting:Locate within cover, out of prevailing wind. Pile leaves and short grass around the House plus two hand fulls of short dry grass and leaves inside the box to start nest.
